I've replaced the batteries multiple times, and each cycle is the same - very short lifespan. I had high expectations of Black Diamond (based on prior purchases), but this headlamp's battery-life is unusually short. Signature features like smooth PowerTap, dimming, flood and spot lighting, and a red. The difference in the options in the storm line are primarily the lumen output rather then any key features. PowerTap technology allows instantaneous changes in power setting.
